Vimonto Deploy vs Coolify

Coolify is open source and free to self-host: you run the panel on a server of your own, or use Coolify Cloud, and it deploys apps, databases and 280+ one-click services as Docker containers. Vimonto Deploy is a hosted control panel that sets up servers the classic way, with Nginx, PHP-FPM, Node.js and system services, and deploys PHP and Node.js apps with zero-downtime releases. Choose Coolify if you want open source, Docker and any stack; choose Vimonto Deploy if you want a managed panel for Laravel, WordPress and similar apps without maintaining the panel itself.

Where they differ

Open source and self-hosting. Coolify is open source under the Apache 2.0 license and free to self-host with every feature; you install it on a server of your own and keep it updated, or pay for Coolify Cloud to have the panel run for you. Vimonto Deploy is not open source and is only offered as a hosted service: there is no panel to install, back up or upgrade, and it costs €15 per month per organization on Premium, or nothing on the free plan for 1 server and 3 sites.

Containers or a classic server. Coolify deploys everything as Docker containers: apps from Nixpacks, Dockerfiles, Docker Compose or images, and more than 280 one-click services, so it runs almost any stack. Vimonto Deploy sets up a server with Nginx, PHP-FPM, Node.js, MySQL, MariaDB or PostgreSQL, Redis and Supervisor, and deploys from framework presets for Laravel, Symfony, Statamic, WordPress, Next.js, Nuxt and plain PHP or HTML. It has no Docker deployments, but every deploy is built in a new release and only switched live when it succeeded, with rollback.

Built-in operations. Next to deploys, Vimonto Deploy includes server monitoring with alerts and heartbeats, uptime checks for every site, automatic DNS records, load balancing, an audit log, teams that limit which servers a member sees, server transfers between organizations, and an interface in five languages. Coolify sends notifications to more channels, such as Discord and Telegram, where Vimonto Deploy notifies by email and in the app.

Moving over from Coolify

Vimonto Deploy does not import from Coolify. A server that runs Coolify cannot be connected as it is either: provisioning needs a clean Ubuntu 24.04 or 26.04 server. You move by building a new server next to the old one and switching DNS when it works.

Create a server in your own cloud account or connect a fresh VPS, create a site for each app from the same Git repository, set its environment variables, and restore your database from a dump on the new server. Test it on the site's generated address, then point your domain to the new server. Apps that only run as Docker images, and Coolify's one-click services, have no counterpart in Vimonto Deploy and are better kept where they are.

Questions about Vimonto Deploy and Coolify

Is Vimonto Deploy an alternative to Coolify?

For PHP and Node.js apps on your own servers, yes. Coolify is an open-source, Docker-based platform you can host yourself; Vimonto Deploy is a hosted control panel that provisions servers for Laravel, WordPress, Symfony, Next.js, Nuxt and similar apps. If you want open source, self-hosting or Docker containers, Coolify fits that better.

Is Vimonto Deploy open source or self-hostable?

No. Vimonto Deploy is a hosted service, made and hosted in the EU. Your servers and data stay in your own cloud account or on your own VPS, but the panel itself runs at Vimonto Deploy.

Does Vimonto Deploy use Docker?

No. Servers run Nginx, PHP-FPM, Node.js and the database directly on Ubuntu, and deploys go into release directories with a current link that is switched when a build succeeded. See deployments.

What does Vimonto Deploy cost compared with Coolify?

Self-hosted Coolify is free, and Coolify Cloud is priced per connected server. Vimonto Deploy is free for 1 server and 3 sites, and Premium is €15 per month per organization for any number of servers, sites and members. In every case your servers are billed by your cloud provider.
